The Center for Social Statistics (CSS) is introducing a Concentration in Social Statistics.

This is an excellent opportunity for students who want to get interdisciplinary training in quantitative methods geared towards the social sciences, and to signal that they have done so.

The requirements involve: (i) completing 6 statistics or methods courses, at least 3 of which are outside the sociology department; (ii) participation in a CSS seminar over the course of 2 years; (iii) writing a paper on a social statistics or methods topic, ideally one that represents an innovative contribution to the literature in social statistics.
