Free Workshop on Accessing & Using Data from WFHN Study at Upcoming PAA Annual Meeting

There will be a free workshop on how to access and use the datasets from Work, Family & Health Network study at the upcoming 2015 annual meeting of the Population Association of America (PAA) in San Diego. The hands-on workshop will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront (Room Aqua 311ab).

Sponsored by the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies, the Work, Family & Health Network, and the National Institute of Aging, this workshop will provide participants with an overview of the randomized, controlled trial conducted by this research network, and introduce participants to the data collected from this trial, with a focus on the newly available survey data.

Overall Objectives:

  • Provide an introduction, background, and context of the WFHN randomized control trial.
  • Provide an overview of WFHN’s data content, file structure, and data availability.
  • Provide an hands-on opportunity for new WFHN users to use the publicly-available datasets.
  • Demonstrate some of the possible ways to access and use WFHN data.

This seminar is aimed at advanced graduate students and researchers from colleges, universities, and nonprofit organizations.
