CCPR Affiliates Receive Transdisciplinary Seed Grants

Four teams involving CCPR affiliates received Transdisciplinary Seed Grants in the 2017 competition.  Projects involving big data were a particular focus of the competition this year.  Congratulations to:

  • Reducing Homelessness in LA using Big Data and Predictive Modeling, Mark Handcock and Till von Wachter. Funding joint with the Clinical & Translational Science Institute
  • Visual Big Data: Using Images to Understand Protests -Zachary Steinert-Threlkeld (with Jungseock Joo)
  • Leveraging Highly Granular Data in Sampling and Analysis of Political Surveys – Erin Hartman (with Lynn Vavreck)
