Research News
Professor Anne Pebley is featured in the October NIH News release entitled “Improving mothers’ literacy skills may be best way to boost children’s achievement”.

Don Treiman is Visiting Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology for the fall term, teaching his quantitative data analysis course. He will then take up a three week appointment as Distinguished Visitor at the National University of Singapore, starting in the middle of January. In between, he will travel with his wife, Judith Herschman, in Vietnam and Cambodia. Don and Judy will return to LA on February 5.

Professor Sweeney was interviewed on NPR regarding the “Economy’s role in low U.S. birth rate”. Listen to it live.

Funding News
This is a reminder that applications for the 2010-2011 Seed Grants are due to Wendy Tieu or Lucy Shao no later than November 1, 2010. Please view the application criteria on the CCPR Website.
