Request for Abstracts: Special Poster Session at Harvard University Inaugural Forum on Population Health Equity

I am pleased to announce that the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, with generous support from the Aetna Foundation, will be hosting the Inaugural Forum on Population Health Equity, September 10-11, 2015 at the Martin Conference Center, in the Harvard Longwood Area, of Boston, MA. The Forum’s agenda (available here), features public health leaders from around the world, including David Stuckler, from Cambridge University, who will address macroeconomic shocks and health, and Dr. David Williams, of Harvard University, who will discuss the impact of racial disparities on health outcomes.

Please distribute the news of this event to your contacts. Click here to register online. Admission is free of charge.

One of the highlights of our event will be the Student Poster Session. We will have 30 spots to showcase original population health equity research by current graduate and post-doctoral students from academic institutions across the country. Rather than disseminate a general call for abstracts to identify participants for this session, we are soliciting submissions from targeted departments and institutions.

To be considered, candidates must complete the Forum’s online abstract submission form by5:00 p.m. (EST), on Monday, June 29, 2015. Ten of the top posters will be offered a $500 travel scholarship to travel to our event.

For additional information, including registration and the agenda, visit the Forum online, as well as follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. We also may be reached directly atpophealthequity@hsph.harvard.edu.
