John’s project, “Temporal and Regional Variation in Age Segregation in American Metropolitan Areas, 1880 – 2010: Consequences of Demographic and Family Change,”  examines the long-term trend in the degree to which young and old live apart in the United States.

The Treiman Fellowship is awarded annually to support graduate students’ demographic research.
