Job Description:
Tenure-track position in Sociology/Urban Studies to start September 1, 2016. The position is a full-time, 9-month appointment beginning September 1, 2016. The teaching load is 33 quarter credits. Additional requirements include advising, committee assignments, and promising research trajectory.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Sociology. Specialization in urban studies, with special consideration for the areas urban planning, urban policy, urban demography, neighborhood change, and GIS. A successful candidate will demonstrate teaching excellence, commitment to scholarly production, and collaboration in a new urban studies program. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in GIS, urban planning or urban public policy. Candidates with interests and expertise in internships and study abroad programs will be preferred.
