2 Postdoc Fellowships in Economics, Management or Social Sciences – University of Cologne, Germany
Supported by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation, the Cologne Graduate School in Management,
Economics, and Social Sciences yearly awards up to two post-doctoral fellowships. Applicants from
all fields of Economics, Management and Social Sciences who have finished their PhD are invited to
apply. We also encourage applications from researchers from other specialties interested in
interdisciplinary research. We invite applications with a strong research background who preferably
work resp. intend to work in a field related to one of the existing key research profile areas at our
Faculty (see http://www.wiso.uni-koeln.de/de/forschung/key-research-profile-areas/) or who work
in an area closely related to research of Faculty members (see http://www.wiso.uni-
koeln.de/en/research/find-an-expert/). Candidates should have a clear idea of potential research
partners within our Faculty.
The two-year fellowship includes a monthly fellowship of EUR 2.000 plus allowances for international
travel, research expenses, etc. Office space and administrative support will be provided by CGS.
Applicants should submit
• A detailed description of the research project: topic, present state of research, preparatory
work done including a list of the applicant’s publications, planned procedure, theories and
methods, time schedule and work plan, itemized budget for planned stays abroad,
experiments, data or other research expenses
• Potential research partner(s) within the Wiso-Faculty
• Curriculum Vitae
• Declaration that no application of this or a similar kind is currently under consideration
elsewhere
• Two letters of recommendation directly sent to the CGS
