Michela Giorcelli won the Economic History Association’s Alexander Gerschenkron prize for the best dissertation in the economic history of an area outside of North America.  Michela’s dissertation was on Economic Recovery and the Determinants of Productivity and Innovation: Evidence from post-WWII Italy.
