Postdoc in Analytical Sociology

The candidate should have an interest in sociology of education, social inequality, and causal modeling. The main focus of the position is on the impact of institutional changes on inequality of educational opportunity. Knowledge of the Swedish education system is an advantage, although not a requirement. The candidate will be performing policy evaluation analyses as well as comparative studies using register data from Sweden and Denmark.
The candidate should have a proven track-record in quantitative social science research with publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, presentations at leading international conferences, and a fluency in programming (in Stata and/or R). Furthermore, the position requires mastery of methodologies of causal estimation such as instrumental variable regression, regression discontinuity designs, and fixed effect models.
The position requires a doctorate or an equivalent degree from a foreign university. The doctorate shall have been obtained no longer than three years before the expiration date of the application.
