The Impact of Immigration Raids on Los Angeles’ Unhoused Community

This June 2025 update examines the consequences of the recent surge in immigration enforcement raids across Los Angeles, with a focus on their effects on unhoused populations. The analysis highlights how these actions have compounded the risks faced by marginalized groups—particularly people of color—who are already vulnerable to surveillance, criminalization, and systemic neglect. The brief outlines how heightened immigration enforcement has led to increased fear, displacement, and instability for unhoused individuals throughout the county.
