This November, student CCPR Affiliate and Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology, Nanum Jeon, is invited to participate in the Rising Stars in Data Science workshop at Stanford, co-hosted by Stanford, UC San Diego, and the University of Chicago. The workshop focuses on celebrating and fast-tracking the careers of exceptional data scientists at a critical inflection point in their careers: the transition to postdoctoral scholar, research scientist, industry research position, or tenure track position. The two-day event offers PhD students and postdocs mentoring, career and research panels, networking opportunities, and keynotes from leading scholars. The workshop aims to broaden access to data science and support early-career researchers in navigating academic pathways.
