In this CCPR Census Workshop (part 3/3), we will get the newly released 2020 Census Bureau PL94 data using the statistical programming language R. Along the way, we will point out recent criticisms of the data and highlight uses of the PL94. If time permits, we will post-stratify your special dataset using 2020 PL94 data as the reference ‘population control’. Attendees are encouraged to bring in a dataset they are interested in (not from the Census Bureau) where the data has the key demographic variables: Race, Age, and Hispanic Origin. Otherwise, we’ll poststratify a reddit survey about the NBA or a survey about the anime One Piece onto the PL94.
